John Constantine Just Another Exorcism Hangover Premium Format™ Figure

John Constantine Just Another Exorcism Hangover Premium Format™ Figure
John Constantine: In his youth, he was part of a punk band, and today, he is an occult detective and one of the most powerful sorcerers in the world.

I've always had a fascination with monsters and terrifying creatures, which is why I'm incredibly proud to have sculpted this piece and to have been part of A Team.

The design of this piece is based on a 2D concept created by the amazing Richard Luong (@tentaclesandteeth) and myself. It was inspired by the cover of Issue #1 from DC's New 52 line, illustrated by my good friend Renato Guedes ( @renatoguedes )! .

The art direction was led by Tom Gilliland, Ricky Lovas, and me.

I also had the privilege of getting the assistance from the uniquely talented Jorge Villar (@jorge_villar_sculptor), who sculpted the roots, the book, the bottles and roses, the cigarettes, the card, and the magical flame in Constantine's hand.

This project has been one of the most intricate pieces I've worked on in recent years. The sheer amount of detail and the complexity of forms applied to the demonic mass felt like sculpting two main characters. Yet, these creatures were only part of the base. The gravestone, another highly detailed and elaborate element, involved a lot of time and design work to create a seal that represents Constantine's timeline. Similarly, the stone portal at the bottom was another complex piece, as all the seals and runes were added throughout.

However, the main character, Constantine himself, truly took center stage when it came to time and attention. As a team, we had a clear vision of how we wanted him to appear—his pose, his body language, and his facial expression had to reflect that unique personality that makes this character so distinctive. Naturally, his outfit had to align with this vision, and I dedicated a lot of time studying it to sculpt it with care and precision.

A special chapter is also dedicated to the master painters of this giant piece. The finishing touches were done by Bernardo Esquivel (@bnardo70) and Mr. Anthony Mestas (@kangolkid). They did an incredible job—the detail and care in the application of color are on another level. Chapeau to them!!!!

Special Thanks to Anna Van Slee and Ricardo Lopez (@ral.3d )
